Led by lived experience: The organization is primarily led and governed by women with visual impairment.
Feminist and intersectional: They value feminism and aim to be inclusive and intersectional in their advocacy.
Human Rights Based: Their philosophy is rooted in human rights, drawing from the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
Evidence-informed: Their work is informed by lived experience and national and international research and data to achieve the best outcomes for women with disabilities, especially visually impaired women and girls.
Social justice and equality: They believe in equal economic, political, and social rights and opportunities for everyone.
Safety: They uphold high standards of confidentiality and respect to ensure women with disabilities feel safe and valued, with accessible facilities and support, actively seeking feedback from visually impaired women.
