Distribution of Educational Materials to Blind Students of Damkada Model Secondary School, Palpa district

Published on: September 1, 2021

On the funding support of Hans and Annie Reifenberg Trust (HART), Prayatna Nepal distributed educational materials (Talking Calculator, Accessible Geometry Kit, Pen drive Player) to the 14 blind students of Damkada Model Secondary School at Palpa district on 31st August 2021. Among 14 students, 9 were boys and 5 were girls. The educational materials were distributed in the presence of the school principal, resource teachers, and representatives of school administration.

In Nepal, mostly blind students are found weaker in math and science subjects because of the lack of accessible mathematical equipment. Realizing this situation and identifying the needy school, the materials were distributed. The students were very excited to receive the materials.

Prayatna Nepal helped to enhance the accessible learning environment through the distribution of educational material distribution.
