Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop for Visually Impaired Women

Published on: September 26, 2021

Prayatna Nepal team successfully conducted One Day Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop and distributed Menstrual Cups to Blind and Visually Impaired Womens of Banepa (Kavrepalanchok district) on 25th September 2021. The training was conducted in the Bidhya Sagar Secondary School Banepa. Participants were distributed menstrual cups. Special thanks to Ms. Anita Dahal from Marie Stopes Banepa for her time and wonderful orientation sessions on menstrual cups.

The objective of the training was to orient the participants with the cycle of menstruation and ways of maintaining menstrual hygiene and cleanliness.  Participants were delighted to receive a menstrual cup because the menstrual cup was completely new for them and an interesting topic of discussion. Participants found the cup quite useful as it was environment friendly and one menstrual cup can be used for 8-10 years. Prayatna Nepal would like to thank the representative of Marie stope Banepa for her time in facilitating the workshop. We are thankful to mama cash for the funding support.
