Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop to Blind and Visually Impaired Women

Published on: September 1, 2021

Prayatna Nepal conducted a One Day Menstrual Hygiene Management Workshop among 12 blind and visually impaired women of Palpa district on 31st August 2021. The training was conducted in the Hall of Damkada Model Secondary School. The training was focused on the participants living in the school hostel of Palpa district. Participants were distributed menstrual cups. Mr. Soba Kanta Neupane, Branch Manager of Family Planning Association Nepal, Palpa was the main facilitator for the training.

The objective of the training was to orient the participants with the cycle of menstruation and ways of maintaining menstrual hygiene and cleanliness.  Participants were delighted to receive a menstrual cup because the menstrual cup was completely new for them. Participants found the cup quite useful as it was environment friendly and one menstrual cup can be used for 8-10 years. Prayatna Nepal would like to thank the representative of FPAN for his time in facilitating the workshop and is grateful to mama cash for the funding support.
