Our commitment to creating a truly inclusive and equitable society is reflected in our integration of several key cross-cutting issues into all our programs and interventions. These issues are not standalone initiatives but rather fundamental principles that guide our every action, ensuring our work is holistic, impactful, and sustainable.

  • Gender Equality: We firmly believe in gender equality as a cornerstone of social justice. Our programs are designed to address the specific challenges faced by women and girls with disabilities, challenging discriminatory norms and promoting their equal participation and empowerment in all spheres of life. We strive to create a world where gender is not a barrier to opportunities or rights.
  • Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA): Our entire framework is rooted in a human rights-based approach. This means we recognize that all individuals, regardless of disability, possess inherent rights that must be respected, protected, and fulfilled. Our work focuses on empowering rightsholders to claim their rights and holding duty-bearers accountable for their obligations, ensuring that disability is viewed as a human rights issue.
  • Leaving No One Behind (LNOB): This principle is central to our efforts to achieve sustainable development. We are committed to ensuring that women and girls with disabilities, who are often among the most marginalized, are not overlooked or excluded from development initiatives. Our programs specifically target those furthest behind, striving to bridge inequalities and foster inclusive growth.
  • Child Safeguarding: The safety and well-being of children, particularly girls with disabilities, are paramount. We adhere to stringent child safeguarding policies and practices across all our operations to protect children from all forms of abuse, exploitation, and neglect. We create safe environments and ensure that our staff are trained to identify and respond appropriately to any concerns.
  • Environmental Protection: Recognizing the interconnectedness of human well-being and the environment, we integrate environmental protection considerations into our work. We aim to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about environmental issues, understanding that environmental degradation can disproportionately affect vulnerable populations, including persons with disabilities.
